All day Kindergarten is both exciting and challenging for children....they will discover the joys and the fears
of being away from home for a whole day, they will make new friends, and they will learn many new skills, both academic and
social. Having a regular sleep schedule and a healthy breakfast and lunch are critical to helping your
"Special K" be ready to learn each day and to do his/her very best.
I encourage you to take great interest in their work that they bring home...heap on those praises! Your
encouragement will help foster within them a joyful attitude about school! Set aside a short time each evening
to sit down with your child and look over his/her "Daily Folder" and see what he/she did at school that day.
Please let me know immediately if you notice any dramatic changes in behavior at home that seem to indicate that
your child might be having difficulty in school. I will do all that I can to work with you in helping your child
to be a thriving Kindergarten learner.
Blessings,
