9:30 - 9:45       Snack/Sharing (“surprise box” or K.C. the

                     traveling Kindergarten Class bear)

9:45 - 10:00     Recess

10:00 - 11:00   Reading/Language Arts (whole group Reading

                     instruction [Open Court], Literacy Centers,

                     journals, big books and literacy activities)

11:00 - 11:10   Get ready for lunch

11:10 - 11:35    Lunch (lunch from home or order from school)

11:35 - 12:05    Lunch Recess

12:05 - 12:30    Rest Time (w/pillows and blankets, listen to a

                     story tape)
